Language Arts
We are currently exploring Media Literacy and poetry. This will take us several lessons inshAllah but our unit is coming to an end soon. I am working on grading all of the poetry that students have submitted so please expected rubrics to come home this weekend and next week. Please look through your child's work for a better understanding on how they were graded. Rubrics need to be signed and returned.

Social Studies
Alhamdolelah we completed our first chapter on New France. We also reviewed in class and the students will have a test on chapter one on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014. The test will be composed of a vocabulary and short answer sections.
Reminders
- Our Eid trip, class party and gift exchange for both grades 7 will be on October 7 inshAllah. Please send healthy items with your kids that are nut and sesame free. We also need someone to bring in napkins, plates, spoons, forks and juice.
